ESSENCE

We are engaged in a
5-year observational program on the Victor Blanco 4m telescope at
Cerro Tololo, Chile to discover and observe 200 distant type Ia SNe
(0.2 < z < 0.8) in order to constrain the equation of state
parameter of the cosmological dark energy. Get the latest news

SDSS SN search
|
During the autumn of
the next 3 years, we will use the Sloan Digital Sky Survey 2.5m
telescope to find several hundred type Ia supernovae at redshifts up to
0.4.

|
The sister program to
ESSENCE, in which we use the same data pipeline to search for
gravitational microlensing towards the LMC to better understand
baryonic dark matter in the form of MACHOs. Internets, take me away!
